Hello I am Megan Reid and I am from New Richmond, Ohio. I attended New Richmond Exempted Village School District my entire school career until I came to Bowling Green State University. One of my greatest achievements in high school was becoming the captain of the varsity soccer team my senior year. This helped me grow into the leader I am today.
The thing that means the most to me in life is my family. I am very close to my family. I love how close I am to my family. They're my biggest support team. If I did not have my family I would not be anywhere in life. I chose Dietetics because of my Grandpa. He influenced me to choose this profession because he had Diabetes. I wanted to be able to help him. I did not want to do anything in the medical field with blood. I liked to cook and eat food so this is where Dietetics came about. My short term goals are to get good grades and to have fun while in school. My long term goals are to get through school in four years, receive an internship after I finish my required classes, pass the Registered Dietitian exam, get a job after I finish my requirements for becoming a dietitian, and have a family. My ultimate goal is to help people and make a difference in there lives. My passion is to help others. I love helping people it truly touches my heart. I've had many experiences helping people to know this is my passion. Every year I help at our local food pantry and seeing the lives I have touched makes me feel great. My grandfather is not with me anymore unfortunately, however, he helped me realize that my purpose on this Earth is to help others and that is what I will do. |
